This Privacy Policy explains how Avoure LLC, doing business as Biome Recordings (“Biome Recordings”, “we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit biomerecordings.com (the “Website”). Avoure LLC is based in Los Angeles, California, USA, and is the controller of the personal information described here.

Information we collect

  • Contact form. When you use the “Contact us” form, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. The message is delivered to our email inbox; it is not stored in the Website database.
  • Newsletter. When you subscribe, we store your email address in the Website database. Your subscription becomes active only after you confirm it through the link we send you (double opt-in).
  • Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 collects information about how you use the Website: pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and referral source. If you decline, Google Analytics does not run.
  • Security logs. To protect the Website, our security software records the IP address and time of login attempts to the administration area. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, requested page, time).
  • Technical requests to third parties. When the Website loads, your browser requests the website font from Google Fonts and an animation component from the unpkg.com content delivery network. These providers receive your IP address as part of delivering these files.

We do not collect payment information, and the Website does not offer user accounts.

How and why we use your information

  • To reply to messages you send us. Legal basis (where GDPR applies): our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries.
  • To send you news about our releases and artists if you subscribed. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.
  • To understand how the Website is used and improve it (Google Analytics). Legal basis: your consent given in the cookie banner.
  • To keep the Website secure and working. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the Website.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who receives your information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Website:

  • GoDaddy (website hosting and server logs);
  • Google (Google Workspace email, Google Drive for website backups, Google Analytics if you consent, Google Fonts);
  • unpkg.com (delivery of a website animation component).

We may also disclose information if required by law.

International transfers

We are located in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) where the provider participates in it, or on Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep information

  • Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
  • Contact form messages: up to 24 months, unless an ongoing conversation or legal obligation requires longer.
  • Analytics data: according to the retention period set in Google Analytics (up to 14 months).
  • Security and server logs: for a limited period needed to protect the Website.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, to receive a copy of it (data portability), and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, and we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. Analytics run only after you accept them in the cookie banner. The Website does not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals; instead, you can decline or withdraw analytics consent at any time through the “Manage consent” tab or our Cookies Policy page.

Children

The Website is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), two-factor authentication for administrative access, and regular backups. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
